Embark on a journey to the "Heart of Africa" with our exquisite Burundi coffee, nurtured amidst lush landscapes and a climate perfectly suited for cultivation. Sourced from the Masama washing station nestled in the Muramvya district, this coffee embodies the rich traditions and dedication of 623 smallholder farmers, united under the Twiyunge Cooperative since its establishment in 2007.
Within the cooperative, the ethos of "be together for the coffee" resonates deeply, reflecting a commitment to collective prosperity and excellence. Notably, 30% of these dedicated farmers are women, contributing to a diverse and inclusive coffee community. The meticulous process begins with selective picking, ensuring only the finest cherries are harvested. Hand-sorting follows, a testament to the artisans' dedication to quality. Through natural processing, the beans undergo a transformative journey, carefully dried in controlled humidity environments, preserving their distinct flavors.

There are a myriad of factors involved in brewing delicious coffee from the comfort of your home, but if you remember these 3 golden rules, you'll be on the right track :
- Always grind fresh
- Always use filtered water
- Always brew great quality beans
-
The greatest enemies to your beans are air, moisture, heat, and light. To preserve their fresh roasted flavour as long as possible, store them in an opaque, air-tight container at room temperature. Coffee beans can be beautiful, but avoid clear canisters which will allow light to compromise the taste of your coffee.

Making coffee is a nuanced experience, but one that doesn't have to be over complicated.
Using a timer & a scale for measuring your coffee's weight & brew times are great ways you can keep track of what's happening, and then make the necessary adjustments if something isn't quite right.
